Dear Monck Families,
I am writing to let you know that there will be a change in leadership at our school for the 2021-2022 school year. Monck PS will be welcoming Tracy Lupton and Erin Hills as our new vice-principals. Tracy is currently the vice-principal at Spruce Glen PS and Erin is currently the vice-principal at Bracebridge PS.
Kim Wiles will be taking a leadership position as the vice-principal at Bracebridge PS. Kim recently joined the Monck PS team in September after working in various different roles and at various different schools with TLDSB. Her thoughtful approach to teaching and learning and her cheery smile on morning announcements and with students will be missed. We wish her well at her new school.
Tania Steele will be taking a leadership position as the vice-principal at Riverside PS. Tania recently moved to a position in administration after 18 years in a classroom at Monck PS. It is hard to summarize all of those years at Monck PS, but it is clear that her commitment to and impact on Monck PS has been significant. We wish her well at her new school.
It is important to understand that a change in leadership is a professional growth opportunity for school administrators. It is also an opportunity for the school community, including staff, students, and families, to experience new perspectives and approaches to learning. Trillium Lakelands District School Board senior leaders carefully consider placements and transfers of administrators taking into account retirements and vacancies across the Board, each school’s needs, and school community.
