About Our School

We are a vibrant learning community that offers quality programming for students JK – Grade 8. We are the French Immersion school (SK – Grade 8) for the Gravenhurst and Bracebridge areas (80 km radius) providing students with quality French Immersion instruction. The French and English programs merge to form one community oriented atmosphere.
As the largest elementary school in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board that we are able to offer Quality Physical Education to our JK to Grade 8 students through our Phys. Ed department. We also have a vibrant music program that offers students a variety of instrumental learning opportunities. Our fully staffed library is the centre of literacy in the building. Students have daily access to technology that is integrated into the instructional program. Monck has a unique Special Education Program that supports students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a structured learning environment. Because we are an in-town school, students have the opportunity to interact with a variety of businesses and community members.
