Monck Public School Mission & Vision

Motto - Respect and Responsibility

Mission - To be the best we can be!

Vision - The vision at Monck Public School is for all school and community members to work together towards making our school a safe, invitational and inclusive learning community. It is a place where all students strive towards high academic, social, physical and artistic expectations.
Our goal is to produce confident, literate and lifelong learners who are respectful, responsible and productive citizens.

Unique Points about the school

We are the largest elementary school in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board. We offer Daily Quality Physical Education to our JK to Grade 8 students. We are the French Immersion school for the Gravenhurst and Bracebridge areas (80 k radius) providing students with quality French Immersion instruction. The French and English programs merge to form one community oriented atmosphere.  Special assemblies, activities and concerts are presented in true bilingual nature. Spring Musicales are presented involving our Junior/Intermediate students. Neighbouring schools bring their students to view the performances.
We have a courtyard project that involves all students planting marigolds in designated areas. Grade 3 students fill a large garden bed with annual plants in a quilt fashion. Students are responsible for the weeding and watering of the garden. One year we earned 4 blooms in the Schools in Bloom competition and we have participated in the Bracebridge Horticultural Society's Annual Garden Tour.
